Affordable Pumpkins and Fun for the Kids
The days are getting shorter and the weather is starting to cool down and that can only mean one thing! It is time to get your pumpkins for Halloween. Del Monte Pumpkin Patch in Carmel, CA not only has the normal selection of pumpkins you would expect but they also have gods, dried out corn stalks and hay bales. They even have Radio Flyer type all terrain kids wagons to haul out your score of pumpkins.
More than Just Pumpkins
In addition to the plump pumpkins and other Halloween goodies, the Del Monte Pumpkin Patch has plenty of entertainment for the kids including a giant “Jaws” slide, a bounce room, a penalty kick game and a maze! Be warned, once you get there, you may have a hard time getting the little ones to leave, although I did see an adult bouncing around with the kids in the bounce room and he looked like he was having a great time!
What You Need to Know From A Pumpkin Patch Insider
Although the play area is covered with a blue tarp keeping the mud from surfacing, you may encounter a little mud in the parking lot, so be sure to bring shoes appropriate for an outdoor activity.
You can spend some time at the Del Monte Pumpkin Patch, so be sure to bring water and if you forget there are great restaurants and a Starbucks just across the parking lot! That is one of the benefits of staying close to town when purchasing your pumpkins!
The weather this time of year can be from 85 degrees and sunny to 50 degrees and raining so dress in layers. Parts of the Monterey peninsula might be nice but when you go to the mouth of Carmel Valley you might encounter fog or different conditions.
