Beautiful Log Cabin for Sale in the Carmel Valley Village
Real log cabins are few and far between here on the central coast of California, especially in Carmel Valley, so if you have always wanted one, here is a great opportunity!
Located just a couple of blocks from the Carmel Valley Village, across Rosie’s Bridge sits an authentic log cabin home just a few steps from the Carmel River. Built in 1986, the craftsmanship and attention to detail really shows. Large carved and stacked whole timber walls give this home a unique and rustic look on the exterior while maintaining a sturdy structure. There is a balcony with exposed beams across the entire front of the home adding interest to what would otherwise be a large wall of wood.
Once inside, the log cabin feels comfortable and gives you the feeling of safety and security. Although the wood timbers on the inside are dark, this home really takes advantage of the windows and doors allowing a lot of natural light into the exposed wood interior. The kitchen sticks with the cabin feel with a real Goodwood Sunny antique stove! Not to worry though, if you prefer a traditional oven and cooktop, there is one of those too along with with a microwave, dishwasher and a frig. The kitchen floors are tile. In addition to the kitchen, the main level of the home includes the dining room and living room, a full bathroom, a laundry room and a half bath.
The second level is home to three spacious bedrooms including the master suite. Each bedroom has a door out to the deck that extends the entirety of the front of the log cabin and has it’s own set of stairs. The master bedroom is the largest of the three and has an antique wood burning stove for those cold winter nights plus its own bathroom. The other two bedrooms share a bath at the top of the stairs.
Beautiful Backyard Perfect for Carmel Valley Weather
The back yard is beautifully landscaped and has a 653 square foot patio, which is perfect to take advantage of the Carmel Valley Village weather. Summers will be 10-20 degrees warmer than the Monterey Peninsula weather as there is rarely any fog to worry about. There is a good sized storage shed, a small lawn, a wooden bench swing and a vine covered trellis offering relief from the warm summer sun.
With a near perfect location, the Carmel Valley Village is just a few blocks away, Rosie’s convenience store is less than a block away and the Carmel River is just across the street outside your front door.

Carmel Valley Village Neighborhood in Carmel Valley, CA
“The Village” as locals call it is a quaint little town located 12 miles east from the more famous village, Carmel-by-the-Sea, that gets all of the national attention. However in the last 20 or so years, the Carmel Valley and especially the Village has been making news as one of the hottest wine destinations in the state. With big winery names like Talbott, Galante, Morgan, Bernardus and Heller Estate, it is no wonder the wine business and tasting rooms are starting to put this small community on the map.
The best part about Carmel Valley and the Village is it’s comfortable, unpretentious feel. It is a great place to raise a family. The public schools are great, among the best in Monterey County and there are tons of outdoor activities to take advantage of year round.
The weather in Carmel Valley and the Village is outstanding. It is roughly 15 degrees warmer than the coast in the summer months and is just beyond the reach of the fog most days, making it agreat place to escape from the coastal June gloom. Winter mornings are crisp but give way to warmer temps as the day progresses and ultimately are comparable to the coast’s mild winters although snow can fall in the Village. When snow does fall in Carmel Valley, it never sticks unless you are in Cachagua in the higher elevations.
